The well know floating bar & restaurant ‘The Albatros’ has left Wells Harbour and is heading to Maldon in Essex to undergo a major refurbishment & refit.
The 120 year old carog ship, which can usually be found moored beside the quay at Wells was escorted out to sea by the Wells Harbour Master early on Tuesday morning.
The refurbishment of the Albatros, which has been taken over by Will’s of Wells Coffee Shop, is expected to be completed by early 2021.
Since arriving in Wells, where her previous owner decided to transform her into a restaurant, music venue, café and B & B, she has served hundreds of visitors, especially during the summer months.
We look forward to seeing her transformation next year.
