Earlier this month the NYA team took part in the Tour De Broads.
The Tour de Broads is the biggest cycling sportive in our region with spectacular routes, road, scenery and other like minding cyclists. This year the event partnered up with Nelson’s Journey to give back to a great cause.
The route takes in as many of the Norfolk broads that can be reached on the roads with stunning picturesque roads in between.
With an ambitious 56-mile route registered for, great weather forecast and some snazzy Lycra in the mix! we all turned up for the 8am start.
The Start was in Plumstead with stops in Horning and Stokesby along the way before returning back to Plumstead for the finish. We had a great time riding as a group and completing the trip round in glorious weather . A shiny participation medal and cold beer were awaiting us at the finish line!
Well done to all those that took part and who knows maybe we can try the 100 mile course for next for next year!?
