HAINES 32 OFFSHORE HITS THE WATER

August has been an extraordinary month for NYA for many reasons: The superb weather at the start of the month, the customary increase in summer sales and the arrival of the world’s first Haines 32 Offshore.

Everyone at NYA has been awash with excitement for the completion of this new build and she certainly hasn’t disappointed. Over the last week sea trials off the coast of Lowestoft and a photo-shoot have taken place and the boat has exceeded all expectations.

We will once again be teaming up with Haines Marine at this year’s Southampton Boat Show, where this boat will be making her official debut. Here’s hoping for some late summer sunshine!

SOUTHAMPTON BOAT SHOW

NYA and Haines Marine will once again be playing an integral part at the Southampton Boat Show with the launch of the brand new Haines 32 Offshore. Previously we have appeared at this show with the Offshore's counter part, the 32 Sedan which was superbly received leaving us with an air of excitement for the feedback from this beautiful new boat.

To coincide with the international launch of the new Haines 32 Offshore model, Haines Marine will be moving to a more prominent central position at the Southampton Boat Show in September.

A side-on berth will maximise the boats exposure, ensuring all visitors are able to appreciate all aspects of this new craft. Situated on the water on berth M236, as usual the team from Haines and Norfolk Yacht Agency will be onboard to assist with any enquiries.

The Haines 32 Offshore will be on display at the Southampton Boat Show from 12th to 21st September, to book your private viewing please contact louise@nya.co.uk or call 01603 713434

EXCITING COLLABORATION GETS PEOPLE UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH THE BROADS

Broadsview is an exciting collaboration between engineer Joe Rutland and the Broads Authority to bring detailed panoramas direct from the waterways into people’s homes, in the same vein as Google’s Streetview

It aims to provide virtual online experience of all 120 miles of navigable waterways within the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads , with the goal of increasing the number of people using this magical waterland.

The project, which is funded by the Broads Authority’s Sustainable Development Fund (SDF), will capture the required imagery by pedal power alone. The images are captured using a bespoke panoramic camera, mounted above a pedal drive in the middle of the boat.

ANGLIA AFLOAT FEATURES NYA’S LONDON CRUISE

If you pick up this month’s copy of Anglia Afloat you will notice 3 special pages dedicated to NYA Cruising Club’s first trip to the capital.

It is always an honour to have a mention in one of the UK’s finest boating journals. Many of our fellow cruisers and support crew are avid readers and so it seemed a fitting way to sum up our voyage.

We had a fantastic time on this cruise, something that really shines through in the summary as well as the superb pictures of the boats and crew enjoying themselves.
