Our new Cruising Club lead boat has finally arrived safely in Brundall. Now that a new name has been picked she is being prepared at our Service Centre so she is ready for our cruise to St Kats next month.

The staff in Brundall were abuzz with excitement to see Evita arrive and she certainly did not disappoint.

Last weekend NYA held their second Novice Cruise, a concept designed to help first time sea goers gain some valuable experience on their boats. The feedback from those who have previously taken part has been phenomenal with a great time being had by all.

On Friday 16th May 16 boats gathered at the Berney Arms for a Skippers Briefing. They were joined by the Camera Crew from Wide Angles TV who were making a film of the event for our website.   The forecast for the weekend was excellent. Just after 0900hrs the boats departed their moorings and headed slowly down Breydon for a 1000hrs Haven Bridge lift.

Once out to sea, the conditions were excellent and they headed South to Lowestoft and the fleet opened up at times for the camera.

From there the fleet headed up to the Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht Club where they enjoyed a Pimms party.

The following morning they all set sail for Southwold. The sea was flat calm and the sun was shining. Once south of the East Barnard ‘Tallulah’ our lead boat for the cruise, informed everyone they were in good safe water and the boats opened up for a play and for photographs

We would like to extend a big thank you to all who came along and to our crew on the support boats for once again making all run seamlessly.

A fraught weekend has been spent pouring over name suggestions for our new Cruising Club lead boat with some truly excellent names put forward by our dear customers and Facebook friends.

In the end the name chosen came from two of our smallest Cruising Club members, James and Ella Fraser and that name is ………………………..Evita!

A name derived originally from Hebrew meaning ‘To Live’ we had to agree that it had a ring to it.

Unfortunately James and Ella are a little young to share the winners champagne but their Mother has agreed to look after it for them.

With April marking the end of our financial year we are pleased to report another superb year for boat sales.

In what is undoubtedly a difficult financial climate, we have sold a total of 327 boats with a value just over 10.5 million at the time of writing.

With a steady run on the brokerage and stock boats as well as a consistent stream of orders being taken for new Haines boats, it is no surprise that NYA have had another outstanding year.We have expanded our service centre in the last year taking on new staff and acquiring another workshop.

NYA marked another stellar year with celebratory drinks and a feast of Thai delicacies.

With boats constantly coming in and leaving the sales site we are always on the lookout for more decent stock boats. If you have a boat you would like to sell, why not get in contact with us! or call our office on 01603713434

After much anticipation NYA’s new Cruising Club lead boat has arrived on UK turf and is now undergoing a full prep by our dedicated Service Centre.

The beautiful Sunseeker Predator 62 made its way from Gibraltar to Southampton where she was met by James and Speedo, from there they sailed her back to Norfolk.

We are currently wracking our brains for a name for this stunning specimen. Last week we asked our Facebook followers to come up with suggestions but as yet we are undecided. We are hoping to have a name by the closing of this weekend; any more suggestions are always welcome.

This past weekend saw the second annual Horning Boat Show and once again this popular local show did not disappoint. Crowds descended on the village and the NYA crew were kept busy all day, with a stream of visitors looking over a selection of our boats. There was a fantastic turnout with an estimated 7,000 people enjoying the show.

Food and drinks were served through the day and despite the overcast weather a great time was had by all; we even saw a little sunshine toward the end of the day.

We would like to extend a big thank you to the show organisers, for once again keeping all running smoothly and most of all to everyone who stopped by and made the day so special.

With the 3rd of May fast approaching preparations for the second annual Horning boat show are nearing their climax.

2013 saw the launch of the Horning Boat Show exceeding everyone’s expectations with a turnout of over 5,000 people!

Once again Norfolk Yacht Agency will be there taking pride of place exhibiting 5 of our boats including the Haines 32 Sedan, Haines 320, Cruisers 310 Express, Benetau 980 and the Crownline 250.

This vastly popular local show promises to be a great day out for all the family, with regional boat builders showcasing their latest designs as well as a huge collection of used boats, with NYA’s own brokerage site just a short walk up the road.Tempted to make some updates to your current boat? Chandlers will be there on the day to tempt you with special deals.

With free entry, parking and entertainment as well as a selection of food and drink to satisfy your every need! All we need now is good weather which James has assured us he will arrange.
