BREYDON BRIDGE REOPENS

East coast boaters will be pleased to know that the Breydon Bridge is once again re open, having recently closed for maintenance to the hydraulic system. The bridge located at the tail end of Breydon waters is an essential element of reaching the sea from the southern broads making this very welcome news for keen coastal cruisers!

The timing coincides perfectly for the Norfolk Yacht Agency Cruising Club, with our season starting on the 4th of April.

HAINES 360 PROGRESS

The countdown is well and truly on for the unveiling of the new Haines 360 and with April just around the corner, we are pleased to confirm that the boat is in the final stages of build and very near to completion.

This first Haines 360 will ultimately be heading to the Kent coast, following the boats launch event to be held at our NYA’s Brundall site. The excited owners have chosen a specification to include a single 260hp Yanmar engine, oak interior and a stylish navy blue hull.

If you would like an invitation to the unveiling of this prestigious boat on April the 12th, please contact louise@nya.co.uk.

ARABELLA ON TO PASTURES NEW

After two and a half  years as our Cruising Club lead boat Arabella is set to start a new life in Chicester. It is with a heavy heart that we watch her leave us, she has served us phenomenally as our lead boat on many inland and offshore voyages with the NYA Cruising Club. She has ventured to Holland and back and even took part in Norfolk Yacht Agencies ‘Top Gear’ inspired challenge (which she won may we add).

This news of course can only mean one thing. It is time to look for a new lead boat!

We wish Arabella’s new family many happy years of cruising.

BOAT SALES OFF TO A FLYING START FOR 2014

It may not have been the ideal weather to head out on the water but that certainly hasn’t stopped NYA from having a phenomenal start to 2014. With over 40 boats sold for January and February at a value of over 2.5 million, it is clear to see that business is booming for the boating industry.

As would be expected there is a strong feeling of positivity in the marine industry at the moment, which has been bolstered by the increase in sales.

Our efforts have seen the sales of two new Haines boats as well as a range of used boats from £6,000 to £325,000. Both our Brundall and Horning offices have been a hive of activity over the past couple of months and with new boats being added to our listings almost daily, it is no surprise that we have something for every customer.

With the start of the boating season fast approaching it is an ideal time to sell. If you would like details on our brokerage, please contact boats@nya.co.uk. If you are looking to upgrade your current boat we also offer part exchange on all boats listed.
