We are pleased to announce (on behalf of the new parents) that Matt and Emma have a new Baby Boy!  Baby Caleb Sampson was born just before midnight last night and Matt told us 'Mother and baby are doing well, Dad needs a drink!'
Congratulations to you both, we are all so pleased for you.

It's just over 8 weeks until our East Coast Cruise gets underway bound for the River Orwell & various ports.  Here's a few pictures from previous East Coast Cruises to whet your appetite.

The Haines Factory is always an interesting place to visit and witness the attention to detail that is applied to each and every one of their builds.
Their workshops are a hive of activity at the moment, producing eagerly anticipated boats for their customers.  The build process is very much part of the Haines ownership experience with owners encouraged to visit the factory and witness each stage of the build and to understand the specification and various options available.  The 32 Sedan remains a popular choice with three on order including an Offshore version powered by the new Yanmar 350hp V8 diesel.  There are two aft cabin 360 models due into production along with 26's and a 400.
If you would like to have a personal tour of the Haines factory to witness it all first hand, please let us know.

We are pleased to report that our neighbours - East Hills Cafe Bistro are due to re-open this month. The following is taken from their Facebook page,  'Sophie and her team are pleased to announce the re-opening of East Hills, which is set for 20th February.  From now on we wil be accepting bookings and very soon we'll be publishing our events on the events page of our website.  We have an exciting new menu offering freshly prepared dishes using locally sourced, seasonal ingredience bringing the best of what we previously offered.  Carlos can't wait to get his kitchen warmed up again'.   We have taken the opportunity to expand the kitchen and adjust the bar slightly.  We are really looking forward to welcoming everybody back to our refurbished bistro'.
We can't wait to see what the new 'East Hills' will look like and wish Sophie and her team all the success in the world.  See you at the bar very soon!

Openings for the Sales team at NYA always cause an avalanche of applications from people wanting a career in their favourite pastime. Let’s face it; it beats working for a living!  When old hand Tiff Howie decided to move overseas recently, an opportunity arose and Sam Weston from our Service Centre was quick to apply.

Sam joined almost three years ago as an Apprentice Engineer and is about to qualify with flying colours. Having already had experience as an occasional member of the sales team providing weekend cover in the office for some time, it was clear that Sam enjoyed the role and appeared to have a flair for it.  Our knowledge of Sam as a conscientious, honest and affable individual shot him straight to the top of the short list.

James Fraser, Managing Director said ‘We were delighted to offer Sam the position; we’ve always had a policy of promoting from within'. Sam’s boating knowledge, his understanding of the company’s ethos and his honest, friendly disposition not to mention his engineering qualifications, will stand him in excellent stead. NYA looks for highly motivated, professionally minded individuals within its sales team. Sam will fit right in.
