NEW LIFEBOAT FOR LOWESTOFT

The new Shannon class lifeboat for Lowestoft is on schedule to be ready for action this Autumn after expected delivery in September and further crew training.
The new boat, to be named the Patsy Knight, will replace the present Spirit of Lowestoft which has now exceeded its planned 20 year life.  At 25 knots the new boat will be 50% faster and able to operate in shallower water.  It’s the first all-weather lifeboat to operate using water jet engines.

NYA CREWS HIT TOP GEAR IN CHALLENGE

A bit of rivalry crept in during an evening drink when the crew bringing Arabella back from St Katherine’s Dock knew they would join the same route as Speedo’s crew collecting Tallulah, a new acquisition, from Rochester.  While speed limits were obeyed at all times, Arabella came home ahead after a smart navigation choice around Shipwash off Felixstowe.   The race played out live on our Facebook page where you'll see the helpful comments we received on the way.

SUCCESS FOR FIRST ANGLIA AFLOAT BOAT SHOW

Decent weather and a big turn out made for a great day at Oulton Broad on Feb 1.  There was a lot of interest in the Haines 32 and in a Sealine S38 from our used stock. Many thought this 2006 boat was new, which says a lot about our presentation team.  The event drew plenty of people to the region so we had increased visitors at both Brundall and Horning.
Our thoughts are turning now to the Horning Boat Show on May 3, where there are exciting plans to build on the success of the first show last year.  As lead sponsor, NYA will look forward to seeing you there. You can see how plans develop at www.horningboatshow.co.uk

FIRST PICTURES OF THE NEW HAINES 32 OFFSHORE

Just over a year ago the Haines 32 Sedan was launched to rave reviews and soon after it was announced that an offshore variant would be built. Plans have been in place since the launch of the original Haines 32 Sedan river and estuary cruiser, but such has been the far reaching appeal and demand that the development was brought forward.

This week in the Haines factory we got an exclusive look at the boat taking shape.

A major feature of this new build is the Andrew Wolstenholme designed semi planing hull with keel, which will deliver excellent offshore performance while retaining the appealing characteristics of the original river and estuary model.

The first Haines 32 Offshore is scheduled for completion July 2014 and will be built as a Norfolk Yacht Agency stock boat. It will incorporate the larger engine option for greater seagoing capabilities, making this one of the most versatile boats of its class.

If you would like to be kept updated on the progress of this or indeed wish to see this exciting new design in build, please let us know.

DATE ANNOUNCED FOR UNVEILING OF THE NEW HAINES 360

NYA are delighted to add another exciting date to your diary. The official launch of the new Haines 360 will take place on Saturday the 12th of April between 2pm and 5pm. The highly anticipated craft will be shown for the first time at NYA’s newest workshop directly behind our Brundall office.

We are looking forward to sharing with our guests an exclusive first viewing of this inspiring inland and offshore craft.

The new Haines 360 is a complete relook at the successful and widely popular 350 model. All the qualities that have made the 350 so successful are at the heart of this new aft cabin cruiser.

In addition to this new boat there will also be a selection of other Haines models on display as well as a great selection of used boats on our marina.
