As the countdown to Christmas continues, the build up for the 2015 London International Boat Show begins.
James and Justin were at Excel to oversee the lift off of the two Haines boats that NYA will be displaying from the 9th to the 18th of January in London.
After careful preparation by our valeting department and much wax they are shrink wrapped by Haines to protect them and keep them clean on the 130 mile trip with Beverley Transport from Brundall.
The boats, now safely on the stand in Excel, will remain wrapped until the new year when the NYA team will arrive to prepare the boats and the stand for the shows anticipated 10,000 visitors.
This will be London's 61st year. It was first held at Olympia before moving to Earl's Court in 1957 and then to the Excel in 2004. It is a show we have enjoyed exhibiting at for many years and we are certainly excited to see what 2015 brings.

The much anticipated Cruising Club dates and destinations for 2015 have been set.  Full details are available on our Cruising Club page under  'forthcoming events' and places we hope to visit include London, Holland & Wells.

We will keep our fingers crossed that the weather will be as kind to us in 2015 as it was for the 2014 season.

Novices and Newcomers are welcome as always.

Our boat transport partners BTS have a new girl on the fleet. A Scania R440 known as Tania.
We have long endorsed ths excellent boat transport firm for their reliability, value, professionalism and care. They have now endorsed us with space for our company name when they are on an NYA job.
It is the belief of our MD, James that truck drivers fall into two groups; those who drive a Scania and those who wish they drove a Scania. Driver Paul Douglas has become one of the lucky ones.

As January fast approaches some exciting news is revealed ahead of the 2015 London Show. For the very first time Haines Marine will be displaying two different models from their range.

Making their London Boat Show debuts will be the Haines 360, thanks to kind permission of its owners, and the 32 Offshore, giving the company a greater presence at the show and showcasing two contrasting styles of motor cruiser.

London has long been known for showcasing innovative built boats and this year with these two beautiful models will certainly be no exception.

Following a hugely successful Southampton Boat Show in September and the recent upturn in sales across the range of boats,  the decision was taken to grow the stand space from that of previous years and display some of the very best in the Haines range of bespoke hand built craft.

Situated on stand A458 and A459, as always members of the NYA and Haines team will be there to greet you.

If you would like to book your private viewing please contact or call 01603 713434

After a summer spent as lead boat for the NYA Cruising Club Evita has now made her way back to the Capital to spend the end of the year in the prestigious St Katharine Docks.

James and Mark ’Speedo’ Suckling had the pleasure of taking Evita down by water to London in another seamless journey in which we were joined by fellow Cruinsing Club memebers 'Queen V' and 'PJ2'.

Often we are also joined in the docks by other members of our Cruising Club. With the London Boat Show also just around the corner many take the opportunity to travel down on their boats to take in the true atmosphere of the show.
